SPECIAL BOILER OPERATORS RENEWAL LICENSE

RENEWAL COURSE  

                A new law has been passed that changes the required continued education hours, for Special Boiler Operators and Special to be in Charge, to renew their licenses, from thirty hours to six hours. Special Boiler Operators license will now only require six hours of continuing education to renew their licenses every five years.

                The Steam Engineering Institute has developed a six-hour correspondence continuing education (study at home) course, approved by the Department of Public Safety, that includes fours hours on Mass Gen. Laws and two hours on high-pressure boilers to fulfill the requirement for license renewal

                In addition to the mandatory four hour course on Mass. General Laws the two-hour course will cover subjects of interest and concern for special boiler operators. This course is part of our course for persons studying for their Special Boiler Operators initial license. The course covers the subjects that a Special Boiler Operator should know which relate to the equipment and operation of boilers only.

Tuition for the License Renewal Course is $150.00 plus $70.00 for the textbook and notes.
